Just steps out the front door, you will find a stocked trout stream running through the property. We are conveniently located 6 miles north of Decorah, just off Hwy 52. Take time to balance your busy life by creating memories with family and friends!
Lodging
Trout Cove can sleep up to 7 people. This cabin is perfect for family and friend gatherings. It's covered deck invites you to relax and take in the view. The cabin was recently remodeled and includes a brand new modern addition. Enjoy a relaxing paradise just outside of Decorah.

Outdoor Adventures
Trout Fishing
The DNR stocked trout stream runs through this entire 24-acre sanctuary. West Canoe Creek allows for great opportunities to catch rainbow and wild brown trout. Even better, adjacent properties allow public fishing access as well.
Hiking
Mowed trails following the trout stream, as well as through the woods, are fitting for both beginning and experienced hikers. Along the trails you will find a multitude of wildflowers which are home to various wildlife.
Mushroom Hunting
Throughout the woods, many dead elm trees offer great opportunities to find morel mushrooms in the spring. Puffball mushrooms can also be found in the Fall. Make your reservations in May for your best chance to find Morels.
Archery Hunting
For those licensed and experienced, we do allow archery hunting for both turkey and white-tailed deer as they frequent the property. Please inquire for more information and rates as only a few hunts are allowed each year.
Aside from the outdoor activities, there are many opportunities to just relax and take in the scenery. Whether fog is rising in the morning or the leaves are changing in the fall, the views overlooking the valley are breathtaking.
